Waxed Twill Paddle Bag

$114.00 USD

Built to protect and transport your paddles without excess bulk, our Waxed Twill Paddle Bag reflects the same straightforward approach that guides everything we make. Designed as a single, versatile size, it comfortably fits paddles up to 66" long, keeping them contained, protected, and ready for the next trip.

The bag is made from rugged waxed twill, chosen for its durability, weather resistance, and ability to age gracefully with use. Inside, it holds two paddles separated by a bright slicker yellow divider—a functional detail that prevents abrasion while adding a small moment of delight every time you open the bag. Simple, durable, and thoughtfully built, this paddle bag is made for years of travel between shop, truck, and water.

Made in Maine. Typically in stock and ships within three to four business days. Custom sizes available upon request. Paddle not included.

Our History

While technically founded in 1858, this hand painted sign dug up from the archives shows that the company was actually doing business two years before that. Either way, we're still the second oldest manufacturer of marine products in the United States today.

From our simple workshop on the banks of the Penobscot River, we still employ time-honored manufacturing traditions. Here, a long time Shaw & Tenney craftsman sculpts an oar on a drum sander that’s more than 100 years old.

Our oars and paddles are all made to order right here, in our Orono, Maine workshop. Meticulously hand sewing oar leathers takes years (and years) of practice.

We’ve been dipping our paddles the same way for over 100 years. Of course there are probably easier ways to do it, but we’re convinced there’s no better.
